Ananaba Commissions the Ffity1 Alliance Sports Complex, conducts a bid for Supalig 5 A-side clubs
In a brief but impressive ceremony held on Thursday, April 10, 202,5, the Abia State
Commissioner for Sports, Sir Nwaobilor Ananaba, declared open the Fifty1 Alliance Sports
Complex in Umuafor, Aba, Abia State. Not even the torrential downpour in Aba that morning
nor a packed diary of engagements could stand in his way. You could sense the unspoken relief
and expression of delight among the guests as the Commissioner’s entourage pulled
into the complex.
The management of Fifty1 Alliance thanked the Commissioner for his continuous support
during the construction of the complex and his presence at the opening. In his remarks, the
The commissioner expressed delight at the project’s completion, especially the football pitch, which
will be used for the Abia State Supalig. He promised continued support for the Abia State
Government for sports infrastructure development projects.
As part of the opening ceremonies of the complex, the Commissioner went on to conduct the
bid draws for clubs intending to participate in the 2025 Abia State Fifty1 Alliance Supalig
football league. Immediately after the bid, Ananaba undertook an inspection tour of the
complex and expressed his delight at what he had seen.
